Sparked by her desire of problem-solving, deep interest in financial integrity and contribution to organisations’ long-term success, Brenda commenced her professional journey at a top audit firm: Ernst & Young, where she was involved in risk assessments, audit findings and offered corrective actions to strengthen efficiency. Thereafter, she joined BDO, as an Assistant Audit Manager that exposed her to regulatory compliance and quality performance.
Brenda is well-versed with applying IFRS, FRS 101 and 102, and SORP regulations. Her experience equipped her to manage a diverse portfolio including specialised construction, precision engineering, manufacturing, retail, entertainment and media, and non-profit organisations.
As an Audit Manager at Shah and Co, she focuses on audit strategies, client relationships, supervision and training audit teams, finalising financial statements and reporting to Board of Directors.
Moreover, Brenda is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), holds an MBA with Distinction, and a BA in Accounting and Finance. Her enthusiasm for continuous development is fuelled by the need to stay ahead of regulatory changes and adhering to highest financial standards.
